Finance Officer (Development and Environment)

It is an exciting, yet challenging time to work in local government finance. We are looking to recruit an ambitious and adaptable individual to join our innovative, forward thinking financial management team. North Somerset Council prides itself on being an efficient, well run council. Alongside being a strong technical individual, we are looking for applicants with excellent presentation and communication skills and an aptitude to positively embrace, and influence, change.

 

An exciting part-time opportunity now exists for a career-graded post within the Development & Environment Team. The role is available up to 18.5 hours per week.

 

To support the Finance Business Partner team, we are looking for a self-motivated individual to provide financial support and advice to services within the Development & Environment Directorate.

 

We invite applications from candidates who are passionate about the services they support, keen to understand the business models that underpin services and are able to build effective relationships. Other key skills that will be necessary for success are the ability to adapt to changing environments, understand and explain financial concepts and continually seek more efficient ways of working.
