Library Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic, friendly, outgoing person to join our team at Amesbury Library to help provide a high-quality service to our customers. This is a temporary/fixed-term contract working 12 hours per week, initially for 6 months.

About the role

Your duties will include helping people to use the library, computerised counter routines, answering the phone and shelving stock.

About you

You will need to possess at least 5 GCSEs, including English at grade A-C or equivalent. Previous library experience is not essential as we will train you in all aspects of library work and help you to develop your IT and customer care skills.
