Occupational Therapist

North Somerset Council is a forward thinking organisation committed to promoting independence for those living in North Somerset as well as modernising our services to be able to meet our future demands.

With engagement underway to develop our Occupational Therapy services it is an exciting time to join our organisation and to contribute to this exciting scheme.  Our Occupational Therapy workforce are valued as key to achieving the best outcomes for our service users and we would like to invite you to join us at this pivotal time.

We currently have an opportunity available in our Integrated Care Teams.

We are committed to an interdisciplinary team approach, and are professional, dynamic and creative in our approach to our interventions. We have established a supportive team culture and have excellent team morale.

The teams are based across North Somerset (Weston-super-Mare, Worle or Clevedon offices), we are co-located with a variety of other Health and Social Care Teams, giving us an ideal opportunity to network with our colleagues.

North Somerset includes the coastal towns of Weston-Super-Mare, Portishead, Clevedon as well as the beautiful country-side of North Somerset. The geography of North Somerset is bordering Bristol at the gateway to the south west and offers a great environment to live and work within.

Working together we promote integrated practice across Health and Social care services, we aim to offer a unique, collaborative service for the benefit of our service users.

This approach enables easy and timely access to services as well as helping organisations to work effectively together in a truly integrated manner.

Your personal and professional development is important to us. As well as regular supervision and in-service training programme, we are improving our range of training and development opportunities for OT staff.  This will allow you to continue to develop your Occupational Therapy skills and meet your CPD requirements to maintain your HCPC registration.

We would encourage you to contact us for a further discussion about the services or attend for an informal visit (see below).
