About the role
As senior repairs surveyor, you will oversee and advise the team of repairs surveyors, adhering to policy and budget whilst maintaining and improving KPI’s that are presented to the housing board.
You will also lead on initiatives to design and deliver service transformation, recommending solutions, challenging current practices and implementing changes to ensure the continued improvement of the service and the future benefit of the council.
Working with other teams and partners we have the opportunity to develop new and improve upon existing approaches and processes that deliver an outstanding service to our Communities.
You will need to have an advanced understanding of property management and tenancy, as well as significant knowledge of housing management, maintenance practices, building regs and health and safety legislation.
Proven project management experience is essential, as well as having excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to lead in challenging situations.

You will hold a degree or equivalent building / surveying based experience and skills, have a RICS, CIOB OR MCIAT professional qualification and ITQ 2 or equivalent skills with the ability to use a range of IT applications including experience of housing management and maintenance systems.
