What you’ll be doing…
Our Partnerships Officers provide a local ‘first point of contact’ with Active Devon. Their principal focus is building and maintaining relationships with local community groups and partners. They also plan and develop various collaborative initiatives, aimed at enabling those people who would benefit most from being active.
In addition to these ‘core’ Partnerships Officer responsibilities, this role will have specific emphasis on physical activity, movement and sport for children and young people (as part of our Early Life strategic theme), and special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). Our work supporting children and young people with SEND is expanding, and we are looking for an individual who shares our commitment to making a positive difference. We are seeking someone who is considerate, open-minded and dedicated to creating inclusive and supportive opportunities for all. System Training Officer – Liquidlogic, ContrOCC and Associated Portals (x2)

Are you a confident trainer who enjoys helping people learn new systems and feel supported through change?
Devon County Council is looking for two System Training Officers to support the implementation of Liquidlogic, ContrOCC and associated portals as part of the wider JACS Programme (Joint Adults and Children’s System).
These roles will help colleagues across Children’s and Adult Services feel ready, confident and able to use new systems, portals and connected digital tools in day-to-day practice. The posts will have a particular focus on supporting the Children’s Services implementation, while contributing to the wider programme training approach.
You will be part of an established and supportive training team with an agreed training approach, shared tools and a clear strategy. You will not be working alone — these posts will add capacity, continuity and practical support to strengthen the training offer across the implementation.
The role is expected to include face-to-face training across Devon, alongside virtual delivery, digital resources and user support. We are particularly keen to attract trainers who are able to support in-person learning with teams across the county.
What you’ll do
Working with programme colleagues, operational teams and subject matter experts, you will help design, deliver and improve practical system training for staff.
You will:
- Deliver engaging classroom, virtual and one-to-one training.
- Support face-to-face training across Devon.
- Create and update learning materials, guides and digital resources.
- Support user testing, training environments, portal readiness and adoption activity.
- Provide practical support to staff before, during and after implementation.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced project support officer to join our Placemaking team. The Placemaking team are responsible for all aspects of delivering placemaking projects including the restoration of the Tropicana into a leading events venue. The Placemaking team helps create well-designed, vibrant and sustainable places where people want to live, work, visit and invest. The wider team consists of officers responsible for culture, placemaking and regeneration projects, stakeholder engagement, and communications. Together, they support the delivery of projects and initiatives that enhance the area.
In this role, you will be required to undertake a number of diverse project activities in support of the Weston Placemaking Team and delivery of the Super Weston Placemaking Strategy and Improving Weston projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of key project documentation
- Develop and maintain project monitoring systems
- Maintain financial records and administer purchase orders and payments
- Arrange, coordinate and support the delivery of project events, meetings and activities to support overall project outcome
- Collate and edit documents and materials such as working papers, reports and presentations for project boards, Elected Members and other stakeholders as required.
This role is central to the successful delivery of the Placemaking Strategy including the Tropicana project. An exciting opportunity to join the team as an Economic Development Manager in the newly created Place and Sector Development Team has become available. The role is a permanent role with full time hours and will focus on supporting the coordination and facilitation of sector development and business support projects.
The team has been established to create a more coherent, agile and coordinated approach to economic development delivery services across the council, strengthening collaboration, reducing duplication and ensuring clearer accountability for outcomes.
A good understanding of the economic landscape in Devon and the current challenges and opportunities is essential. As well as knowledge of sectors that are strategically important to Devon’s economy, including health and care, construction and the built environment, agrifood and Agri-tech, tourism and hospitality, digital and advanced manufacturing, and marine, coastal and renewable energy. Fidelity Assurance Officers – Connect to Work Programme

These exciting new roles will support the Connect to Work Programme Manager within the Performance and Partnerships Team.
The postholders will support programme management of the Connect to Work programme. Connect to Work is a comprehensive supported employment programme funded by Department of Work and Pensions which is designed to help individuals overcome barriers to employment, develop skills, and access meaningful job opportunities. The programme will deliver support to over 6000 people across Devon, Plymouth and Torbay by 2030.
As a Fidelity Assurance Officer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the programme is delivered to the highest standard, maintaining full compliance with national Supported Employment models — Individual Placement and Support (IPS) and the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF) — while supporting delivery partners to drive continuous improvement.

We are excited to be strengthening our Best Start Family Hubs programme in Devon, creating two new roles that will help us deliver meaningful, lasting change for children and families. We are currently advertising for a Programme and Project Officer (REQ009285) and a Transformation Programme and Project Manager (REQ009287). This is an important moment in our journey. We are developing an integrated, responsive and trauma‑informed offer that brings services together around what families say they need, when they need it, and in a way that builds on community strengths.
The Best Start Family Hubs programme is central to our ambition for children to have the healthiest, safest and most secure start in life. We are investing in high quality, accessible support that joins up early help, public health nursing, children’s services, education, maternity, mental health, and the voluntary and community sector. These roles will be part of a dynamic, values‑led team committed to co‑production, community voice and continuous learning.
Project Officer – Best Start Family Hubs
As Project Officer, you will ensure the smooth running of the programme on a day‑to‑day basis. You will gather and organise information, support engagement activity, coordinate meetings and produce high quality documents that help the programme maintain momentum. Your role will be vital in helping colleagues stay connected, prepared and supported. You will enjoy working collaboratively, bringing curiosity, flexibility and a calm, thoughtful approach to a fast‑paced environment.

The Role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced administration and support officer to join our Heritage and Design Team. The Heritage and Design Team are responsible for all aspects of delivering significant heritage projects including the restoration of Birnbeck Pier. The wider team consist of specialists responsible for archaeology, built conservation, heritage records and urban design.
The post holder will sit within the Heritage & Design Team in the Healthy & Sustainable Communities Directorate and will report to the Heritage & Design
Team Manager. They will also work closely with the other members of the Heritage & Design Team and other officers from within North Somerset Council (NSC).
In this role, you will carry out a range of activities to support the Birnbeck Project.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Administer purchase orders and payments
- Maintain financial records
- Produce the financial information required for grant claims and other project reporting, including producing monitoring reports
- Provide administrative support to the Birnbeck Project Board and other governance structures
- Provide general administrative support for the Heritage & Design team. Prepare updates for elected Members, and contribute to the preparation of reports to NSC Executive and Full Council as required
This role is central to the successful delivery of the Birnbeck restoration project. You will be at the heart of the project team and able to be involved in all aspects of the project. For more information on the project see Birnbeck Pier project | North Somerset Council
Work Style

This role falls into the category of Flexible Worker which means you can expect to work in the following way:
- 2-3 days in the office
- Works both from home and the office, depending on the task at hand.
- Training is provided to help balance work-life and manage time effectively, with an emphasis on communication for team touchpoints and planning in-office days for collaboration.
About You
We are looking for an individual who is passionate about heritage and project management, and who possesses the following skills and experience:
Essential Criteria:
- Administration and finance experience
- Confident in the use of spreadsheets and other financial or project management systems
- Ability to present information clearly and confidently
- Good team player
- Ability to work without close supervision and recognise professional boundaries to seek advice when appropriate.
- Experience of project support
- Confident in the use of MS Office
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience in the Heritage sector
