We have an exciting opportunity for an Application Analyst to join the Software as a Service (SaaS) Team in the Digital and Transformation Service (D&TS). D&TS manage the full life-cycle for Devon County Council’s IT services.

As part of the SaaS Team you will work on an interesting and diverse application portfolio and gain skills in a variety of technologies and stages of applications’ lifecycle.

The team is responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of in-house developed software solutions, requiring expertise from business analysis to technical delivery. We also act as an “intelligent client” with a number third party suppliers.

Our solutions use a wide variety of technologies, that span both traditional on-premise and cloud platforms.  We are in the process of migrating all of our application portfolio to the cloud.

This opportunity is to be a technical lead for DCC with its use of AI, Agents and automation using Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, and custom AI models. Successful candidates will be expected to be confident in a variety of technologies but should consider themselves fully competent to be a technical lead in one or more of the following:

• Integrate AI capabilities using Azure AI services, Copilot Studio, and custom AI models
• Design, develop, and deploy solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Virtual Agents)
• Azure Development and Administration
• Microsoft 365 Development and Administration
• PowerShell
• Database management (SQL)

• Javascript

The post is formally based at County Hall, Exeter, though you may be required to travel to other sites around Devon.
