Role Summary & Benefits
South West Councils are an established apprenticeship assessment organisation, and we are looking to expand our team of apprenticeship assessors for the Revenues and Welfare Benefits Specialist Apprenticeship Standard.
Qualifications:
This role is ideal for someone wishing to support future entrants into this occupational sector
You must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in revenues and benefits in a training or supervisory role
We provide full induction training and ongoing support on the assessment methods and use of our apprenticeship assessment portal
For those without an assessment qualification, we offer the opportunity to gain one through us
Responsibilities:
In this role, you:
Support apprentice success by carrying out fair, consistent, and high-quality remote assessments against the criteria set out in the assessment plan using our guidance and quality standards
Attend annual standardisation webinars
Maintain your ongoing CPD to ensure occupational relevance
Working arrangements and remuneration:
This is a freelance role and a great opportunity for your own professional development. It is ideal for fitting around an existing role; we assign assessment work to you based on your availability. Generally, assessments take place Monday to Friday, between 9am and 5pm.
The assessments are undertaken remotely, so access to reliable IT equipment and an undisturbed location is a must.
