We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Business Support Manager to lead administration teams supporting both our Kinship Service and Integrated Adult Social Care (IASC) services based at our Taw View office in Barnstaple.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead across two diverse and rewarding service areas, making a real impact on the lives of children, families and adults across Devon.

About the Role

As a Business Support Manager, you will provide leadership and support to a team of dedicated administrators who play a critical role in delivering high-quality services. Your ability to motivate, develop and empower staff will be key to ensuring excellent outcomes for both customers and colleagues.

You will be responsible for:

  • Leading and developing a large and varied team, promoting a positive and inclusive culture.
  • Ensuring services operate efficiently and effectively whilst meeting key performance and compliance requirements.
  • Managing competing priorities across multiple service areas in a complex and demanding environment.
  • Managing complex HR processes.
  • Identifying risks, resolving issues and implementing effective contingency plans when required.
  • Driving service improvements and exploring opportunities to enhance processes through technology and innovation.
  • Building strong relationships with managers, practitioners and partner organisations to support service delivery.
  • Supporting organisational change and helping teams adapt confidently to new ways of working.
  • Supporting on site service delivery for business support services in Barnstaple, with some travel to other DCC offices when required.
