The Governors are seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to join our team on a full time basis. Initially, the role will be based within our Year 4 cohort for Term 6; however, the successful candidate should be flexible and willing to work across any year group from September. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and adaptable individual to support pupils’ learning and development within a welcoming and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Has a solid educational background (including English and Maths) and a commitment to ongoing professional development
• Brings experience of supporting children’s learning, ideally across a range of abilities, including those with additional needs
• Is confident in helping to raise pupil attainment, including delivering targeted support or catch-up interventions
• Demonstrates strong communication, organisation, and behaviour management skills
• Can contribute positively to classroom planning and work effectively under the direction of the class teacher
• Is a calm, patient, and consistent presence—able to build trust and respect with pupils through a gentle but firm approach
• Works well as part of a team, showing flexibility and a willingness to support the wider needs of the school
• Is supportive of, and sensitive to, the school’s Christian ethos
