Looking for the kind of job satisfaction you get from doing something that really matters?

We’re looking for someone to join our Strategic Commissioning and Market Development Team.

You’d be working as a Commissioning Support Officer across the adult social care and health agenda. You’d help deliver changes that have real impact for people – particularly among older, younger, and disabled people, and those with a long-term illness.

You’d be part of a team supporting people to be healthier and more resilient, and you’d work to help us maintain a clear plan on how everyone in Devon gets the care they need, and support to live their lives as independently as possible.

You’ll need the organisational ability to work on several things at one time and good communication skills to manage complex situations. You’ll have good abilities to work within a structured project environment and you’ll be capable of interacting openly and positively with a range of partners, people, and their families/carers.

We’re a supportive team with a good offer of internal learning and development opportunities. This is a great chance to develop your ability to research Health and Care market trends, Central Government initiatives, County Council policies, strategies, and be part of translating that information into practical and deliverable plans that will improve the lives of people.

For an informal discussion about the post, please contact Max Sillars on 01392 383000 or max.sillars@devon.gov.uk.
