Commissioning Support Officer – Focus on Unpaid Carers
Join our Adult Social Care Commissioning Team and help improve the lives of unpaid carers and people living with dementia across Devon.
This role offers the opportunity to be involved in all stages of the commissioning cycle – from supporting needs assessments and stakeholder engagement, through to contract monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of commissioned services. You’ll work alongside internal colleagues and external partners, including commissioning leads, experts by experience, providers, and elected members.
You’ll play a vital role in coordinating and supporting the commissioning process. This will include organising and minuting meetings, disseminating papers, developing project documentation such as risk registers and Gantt charts, and helping to keep programme activity on track.
This role is ideal for someone who:
- Is interested in strategic commissioning and looking for an entry-level role to begin or develop a career in this field
- Can work collaboratively with a wide range of stakeholders to support the development of project and improvement plans for unpaid carers in Devon
- Has the ability to analyse and interpret data to support evidence-informed decision-making that improves outcomes for people with care and support needs
