Join Devon County Council as a Deputy Resource Manager – Social Care Provision
 
Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for delivering high-quality adult social care services? Devon County Council is seeking an experienced and motivated Deputy Resource Manager to support our In-House provider services across the county. This is a secondment opportunity for 6 months and you will need the agreement from your line manager to apply.
 
In this pivotal role, you will support the Resource Managers to lead our provision of in-house services. You’ll support ensuring these services are person-centred, compliant with Care Quality Commission (CQC) regulations and aligned with our strategic goals. Your leadership will drive quality assurance, operational excellence and transformational change across the Adult Social Care directorate.
 
You will support with managing a significant budget (£12.5m) and contribute to the leadership of a team of service managers and frontline staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Collaboration is key – you’ll work closely with health, housing and voluntary sector partners to deliver integrated, cost-effective care that meets the needs of Devon’s communities. You will work closely with the Living Well in Devon project team supporting continuous improvement and better outcomes for people.
 
We’re looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in managing health or social care services.
  • Strong knowledge of CQC standards and quality assurance frameworks.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and change management skills.
  • A relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience.

You will work alongside, support and provide cover as required, for the Resource Manager for Community Based Reablement Services and the Resource Manager for Buildings Based Services. We are actively reviewing how we develop our Provision and it is essential that you are flexible and open to an evolving portfolio of service leadership.
