The Finance Team which support Childrens Social Care have 2 vacancies within their team.
The teams support children in care, care experienced young people, children in need, disabled children and kinship and adoption. Both roles will cover a variety of different areas giving the postholders wide exposure to some of the activities performed within the Childrens Social Care Finance Team
The 37 hours per week role will cover processing of invoices, managing grant payments, processing placement forms, dealing with queries and management of financial information.
The 30 hours per week role will cover processing of kinship carers weekly allowances, administering and reconciling petty cash, administering voluntary grants received by the Council on behalf of families in need, and administering a finance email mailbox and dealing with internal and external enquiries.
You will need to have an aptitude for ICT based systems including a good knowledge and application of spreadsheet, database and word processing packages.
The ability to communicate confidently and prioritise your workload is essential along with the capacity to work using your own initiative and have a flexible approach.
