We would like to recruit a positive, enthusiastic and experienced teacher with the knowledge and skills to teach a mixed age Reception / Year 1 class of just 12 children.
Key Responsibilities
All about the role: This is an exciting opportunity to teach a mixed-age class, combining the wonder and curiosity of the Early Years Foundation Stage with the growing independence of Key Stage 1. The successful candidate will:
- Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of both Reception (EYFS) and KS1 pupils.
- Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where every child thrives.
- Plan creatively across the EYFS and National Curriculum frameworks.
- Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and attainment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
- Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
- Has a strong understanding of early child development and phonics.
- Is reflective, organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
- Brings energy, warmth and a genuine love of working with young children.
- Values teamwork and contributes positively to school life.
- Interest and experience in outdoor learning and forest school.
