About the Administration role:
 
Working within the Children’s Social Work Academy the Administrator plays a vital role in helping everything run smoothly. You’ll ensure key tasks are completed on time, support Academy Team meetings, manage the administration required before and after these meetings, respond to information requests, and balance your workload across shared and individual mailboxes. Excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines are essential. This role supports wider office functions and will require you to spend part of your working week on site at County Hall (Exeter) to meet the needs of the service. 
 
Day to day tasks include:

  • Ensure an effective customer-focussed approach to the delivery of training administration and contact with children’s social care operational staff.
  • Maintain effective and efficient administrative procedures for the effective running of the academy team.
  • To produce and collate materials for conferences and training events
  • Arrange and attend meetings, training events and conferences, including booking of venues, dealing with attendance requests and responses, and evaluation of events.
  • Work with team colleagues to ensure computer and online systems are used to their full potential.
  • Meeting preparation, minute taking and follow up administrative support and ensuring meeting agendas and minutes are sent out at appropriate times so staff receive a high quality service.
  • Providing consistent and accurate training information to the management team and our staff. Provide consistent and accurate academy team membership, training and other project related information to the Team e manager and the team’s finance accountants.
