We are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant and MDSA/Playleader to support children at St John’s Catholic Primary School. For some candidates this could be the springboard into teacher training.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be someone who:
- Is keen to support the Catholic ethos of our school, knowing all are welcome.
- Is professional, flexible and able to work collaboratively with other members of the staff team.
- Is an excellent communicator committed to being part of an effective team within the whole school community.
- Enjoys working with children, is patient, understanding and caring.
- Has a willingness to undertake training
- Has excellent behaviour management skills
- Is self-motivated and reliable
- Is enthusiastic with a good sense of humour
- Will undertake lunchtime support for 30 minutes per day being part of our OPAL team
- No experience of being a Teaching Assistant required
