The Transport Co-ordination Service provides passenger transport services across the authority, as well as for a number of public bodies.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive individual to be part of the Mainstream Education School Transport team. This will involve receiving applications and assessing entitlement for Free School Transport for pupils attending Mainstream, SEND and Post 16 educational settings.

The role includes the commissioning of transport and managing the day to day operational needs of transport networks. The role requires the use of different computer applications. The successful applicant will need to be competent with IT systems and be able to provide a high level of customer service.

Experience of working in a busy office environment and either within an education, local authority or transport organisation would be desirable.  Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to prioritise your demanding workload which at times can be working to tight deadlines.

The successful applicant will occasionally be required to travel to other parts of the County as part of the role. Assistance with other transport arrangements may also be part of the duties of this post.
