Torridge District Council are looking for a Vehicle Fitter to provide a vehicle maintenance and repair service for the Council owned vehicle fleet, which amounts to approximately 45-50 vehicles.

The successful candidate will maintain all vehicles to a level suitable to comply with current legislation and maintain those vehicles at that level, including servicing all vehicles and preparing them for MOT inspection.

You must be comfortable working to strict deadlines in relation to service and Health & Safety inspection.

The successful candidate will also be based at our new Operational Services Centre which means being part of a forward‑thinking, well‑invested service that values its people, provides modern equipment and facilities, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality services to local communities. It is a clean, well‑designed, and professional environment that reflects the importance of the work our teams do every day.

A full UK HGV driving licence is essential.
